Towing Drill, Cutter Boutwell
Not many sailors ever see this, the business end of a US Coast Guard Cutter in the middle of the ocean, dead in the water and ready to be towed. Of course, we did it for grins and giggles. But the skills learned in this evolution were always ready if the needed, as it was several times in the nearly 30 years of Cutter Sebago's history. Sebago shipmates of the Campeche Patrol era were very experienced in towing, but for the North Atlantic crews it was something usually only done as practice.
Now, let's get the crap done so we can go HOME.
