Roger E. Henneman
Roger E. Henneman, CPO, USN Ret., 66, of Keystone Heights, passed away June 8, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville.
Roger was a life member of VFW and the DAV and also a past member of American Legion. He moved from Long Beach, Calif. to the Keystone Heights-Hawthorne area back in 1990 after retiring from the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oathur and Geraldine Henneman; brother, Douglas Henneman; and stepdaughter, Laureen Chessel.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Henneman, Keystone Heights; stepdaughter, Lisabeth Knapp, Green Cove Springs; stepson, Bradley Michael Knapp, Hawthorne; brother, Randy Henneman; and two sisters, Star Littles and Kathy Drye, all of Arizona; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 23 at 3 p.m. at First Assembly of God, State Road 20, Hawthorne, with military honors and Pastor Lowell Greene officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Moring Funeral Home, Melrose.

9/18/2014 - I was called by Barbara today and informed that Roger had crossed the bar. She had received the email notification of the Pensacola reunion and realized we did not know of his death.
Barbara indicated Roger died from a disease linked to Agent Orange exposure. Chief Henneman sailed with SEBAGO to VietNam as an FA right from boot camp....
