Boatswains Mate 2nd Class Ford Rainey
Ford Rainey was a plank owner of distinction. Born and raised in Idaho, Rainey went into acting at an early age. He performed in high school and continued acting while at junior college in Washington and then to Cornish Drama School in Seattle. He moved to the east coast to pursue acting professionally and by 1939 he was in Broadway productions.
He enlisted in the Coast Guard at the outbreak of World War Two and was a BM2 when SEBAGO commissioned in September of 1945.
Any SEBAGO shipmate that is a fan of film and television in the 1950's, 60's and 70's has certainly enjoyed this Plank Owner's talent.
