Did You Know?

The First Homeport Was San Francisco

Imediately after commissiong at San Pedro SEBAGO moved to San Francisco (Alameda) as its' first homeport. The cutter made one Alaska patrol and was then ordered to relocate to Norfolk, VA for a short time and then on to Base Boston to finish out 1946. The next stop was Base Staten Island where it stayed until placement in the mothball fleet at Curtis Bay in October 1949.
